Danny started playing piano at a very young age but switched to trumpet in the 3rd grade.
He continued with jazz and classical trumpet through college performing for three years with the
Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra
and four years as principal trumpet of the
Cornell Symphony.
Orchestral tour performances included Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, where he performed the world premiere of a duet for trumpet and trombone, and the Dominican Republic where he performed at the National Palace.
Although he sang informally for many years, Danny's introduction to a cappella began in medical school with the Keytones.
He subsequently performed with the Chicago-based Chords R Us before joining Shircago.
Danny is currently the
Clinical Director of Nuclear Medicine at the University of Chicago Hospitals, where he is also Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology.
He is married to Karin Bensinger, and together they have three children: Nathan, Noa, and Tess.
