Amy was born in Chicago, IL and grew up listening to all types of music, especially the show tunes favored by her mother. At age 11, she sang "Part of Your World" for her school, received a standing ovation, and knew she wanted to sing forever.

She has performed in show choirs, plays and talent shows. Her favorite roles include Rosie in "Bye Bye Birdie", Rosalia in "West Side Story", Hodel in "Fiddler On The Roof", and the leading role in "Hello Dolly".

Amy discovered her passion for Jazz while attending the Berklee College of Music Summer Program in Boston. The University of Miami honored her with the Constance E. Weldon Scholarship, based on talent and academic merit. While studying in Miami, she was provided with many performance opportunities with the Downbeat award-winning Jazz Vocal I, the University's Salsa Band, and the University's big band. She also worked with Lisanne Lyons, Rachel LeBon, Kevin Mahogany, Claudia Acuna, and Kurt Elling. In 2004, she became a booking agent for The Wedding Experience, and still continues to provide them with entertainment.
